shower fan vent in soffit over patio doors

hi there

been trying to find out if there are any regulations reguarding the siting of exhaust vents (shower) in the soffit over windows or patio doors, but cant find any. Anyone know of anything ??

part F (ventilation) does not mention anything re fan exhaust vents near windows or sliding doors so i guess they can be sited in the soffit over or adjacent too in nessacary.

yes i know its just steam , i think the regs refer to boiler/heating vents which exhaust co2 and im confusing the 2. many thanks

A plumber told me today that if the loft has permeable sarking/lining/ in the loft under the tiles, he vents into the void ...

but imagine your sparks puts your vent outlet in the soffit above your open bedroom window and someone goes and curls off a nasty in the toilet. Complies but could leave a nasty niff in the air
