I've been beating myself up about a customer that is really interested in Solar PV and I've been trying to quote on it but really am airing on the side of caution on this.

They have a very Large NNW facing roof and Two smaller roofs facing SSW.

The smaller roofs will only take a small panel so going to use 8 phono Solar 200 from Waxman and 8 250 on the larger NNW facing roof with Solar Edge.

I'm still only at quote stage so still putting figures together.

Would I be wrong in building the main cost into the 1.6kW SSW facing system then basically doing the 2kW NNW at cost? I can make the figures work if I do it like this but it feels weird.

I want to be able to show the customer exactly what they are going to get so there is no mis-expectations with the NNW roof.

I don't see any problem, it's only just North of West and you wouldn't hesitate to recommend an E/W. As long as the figures are clearly explained to the customer, then it's down to the customer to make an informed choice and surely 3.6kwp with this combination has got to be a better investment than 1.6 with the other.
