Of course not, because I know it will sink. I don't know what is going to happen if I put a table lamp as ceiling lamp.

4. you could electrocute yourself: fall off the steps: cause a fire. take your pick
Even if the bulb is the same?
basic law of physics. heat rises. therefore the heat that rises from the bulb away from it's holder as a table lamp will , on the ceiling, rise into the lamp holder and may cause overheating.
