Currently I have a 20AMP breaker with 12 gauge wire going to a 15AMP GFCI receptacle in a bathroom. The receptacle is the only item on this circuit. I'm adding a 120v heated floor to the bathroom w/ thermostat. The specs call form only a 15AMP breaker. I plan on bringing the power to the thermostat from the existing GFCI outlet. The floor will pull only 100-125 watts so I should be fine there. My question is... do I use 12 gauge wire to make that connection from the existing GFCI to the thermostat, or can I use 14 gauge? TIA
