3-way siwtch not working

HI, i have just moved into my new home and there is 2 switches that are not installed and i have tried to install them, but when i installed them switch A would be on and then Switch be wouldnt turn off the light.

right now both switches are off and the hots are merreted (1 black) (1red)


both switch boxes there is 1 red 1black and 1 neutral

nope, i cannot afford a sparky at the moment and i cannot afford my children to stick their fingers in there as well

That skint you just bought a new house ? It will take an electrician no time to remedy this problem so wont be that expensive .

yup i bought a new house before i lost my job. and nvm i'll just move on since i have a feeling no ones going to help me here

nope, i cannot afford a sparky at the moment and i cannot afford my children to stick their fingers in there as well

But if you mess with the wiring and you don't know what you are doing you could set fire to the house
