Problem :
A 95mm sq. cable run from Main Switchboard MCB 250A to sub distribution board MCB 125A . Total required length of cable is 30meters, unfortunately the cable has been cut shortfor and is only 22meters in length.

Is it advisable to use cable joint, to connect another 8meters of cables, for the installation? Would it be against wiring standards or regulations if any?

I take it that this is for a commercial/industrial installation, as such it's good practice to make a sketch giving fairly precise/accurate measurements as to the location of this cable joint for future reference. Leave a copy in the sub-main DB, and hand a copy to the office.
