Back now,

charger has a rating of 110 amps 24 volts on the charge side of the charger, so am i right in calculating the power drawn as being

110 x 24 = 2640 W so 2640 / 230 = 11.5 A

Single phase and not 3

wasn't it just so much easier when it was 240v. just divide by 10.
