Dimplex Quantum Storage Heater - School Lock

Hi all,

I have a Dimplex Quantum Storage Heater displaying the message "school lock". None of the buttons are working as a result. Any ideas how to rectify this?

Do you have the instruction manual?

It may be a combination of pressing and holding 2 buttons at once.

I found this page, but doesn’t really explain how to turn it off.

School Lock Displayed - There are two situations in which this can occur. 1) Straight after installation, switch off both supplies to the heater, wait a few seconds and switch back on, If the fault has cleared, set up of the heater. If the fault has not cleared then ask the installer to reattend. 2) After one of our service agents or regional engineers has attended the customers property and reprogrammed the heaters, they will need to go back. A jumper needs to be fitted to the 2 upper pins of the 3 on the PCB marked school lock. If the jumper is on the 2 lower pins or has fallen off, school lock will be activated and all controls locked.

You need to isolate both supplies, and remove the covers to access the PCB.
