Discuss Drilled through kitchen light cable repaired with crimps now none of my lights work up or downstairs in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Yes 3 were broken. The wiring is really old & out dated. I knew it needed doing. I didn’t understand how 3 had gone but he showed me. As soon as he fixed/changed them ta-dah the lights came back on ???
Many alarm bells are ringing at that description of faults/remedies. Please ensure you get a few opinions/quotes before you engage someone to rewire your house as it does not sound right at all. In fact it sounds like you have either completely misunderstood what was said to you or you are being done over by a cowboy.
