Trying to get the internet back in a room

in the front room is a telephone point inside is a cable with an orange green white and black single at this point the orange goes into one hole and the white another (there's no numbers) and the green and black have been chopped of. This cable come out of here and onto a grey box (outside) where it meets another 2 cables ones black with 6 singles and the others the same as the one in the front room so 4. Well the cable from the front room orange and white contect to the black cables orange and white. The cable to my room connects to the black and green of the black cable which means at my end I've got a cable with 4 singles, orange white green and black and a telephone socket with 6 terminal points. 2 lines of 3 down 1,2 3 on the left and up 4,5,6 on the right. I'm trying all sorts but nothing seems to be working

your incoming pair will have 48 -50V DC on it. find that first. then this pair needs to be connected by whatever means to terminals 2 and 5 of your phone socket/s. not absolutely sure, but i think + goes to 5. ( it will work either polarity, but the correct polarity may be better)

There is a bank of 6 terminals 3 on the left 3 on the right.....the centre left and the centre right terminals are all that is connected......so start at the master socket and match these terminals up in all sockets..master marked 2 & 5

dc volts range. depending on the ranges, select 60V, 100V or thereabouts.
