Looking for the name of a part that a switch plugs into

Hi all,

Recently my gas stovetop's ignition button started malfunctioning. So of course, I took it apart and found a replacement.
So the button seems to have two flat pins that plug into a plastic box with some plate inside. The other end of the plastic box ends with two holes for the cables that connect to the plate.

I've attached a picture of the button (the black thingy) and three pictures of the part I removed. I need to know the name of the one I'm pointing at so I can buy a new one.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

It's a connector. You should not have cut it off the wiring, as the contacts are factory-attached to the wires using a special tool. However, you can probably use normal 0.187" or 0.250" crimp receptacles in its place, depending on the size of the blade contacts on the switch. You will still need the right tool to fit those.

A couple of insulated crimp spade connectors of the female type would solve your problem. First though measure the width of the spade contacts on the button shown in your first image and let me know and then I will advise you further.
