Hi, could anybody please advise of any reason a Low Voltage track light, with 4 bulbs should only be working intermittently. This is controlled by a standard one way switch (not dimmer) and I'm assuming the fault is with the contacts for the bulbs. I was wondering if this could be a transformer fault also? Many thanks for any ideas.

If you don't know how to fault find something like this then I suggest you didn't ought to open it up. Daz

Cheers Daz, I have the 17th edition & the 2391, subsequently I am quite apt at fault finding on a circuit! I was only wondering whether it was likely to be the ceramic connectors, or whether a transformer could have an intermittent fault.

Shouldn't be too hard to test the transformer under load. Also, if it's bad contacts at the bulb holders then they won't all go out at the same time, whereas if it's the transformer then they might. Daz
