Megger 1720

Just got one of these.

How to do ze

I was doing it on l/pe z with red and green lead but was getting a big difference between reading with my old megger. Both calebrated. Normal test procedure used. Main earth diaconnected

However i phoned megger tech and they said use red and blue lead on l/l l/n z. But why would you do a ze line line line neutral :s

Can anyone clarify who has one on doing ze testing

Currently the 2 wire loop test method on the Megger 17xx series is variable and sometimes unpredictable, although with each new addition of the firmware it is improving, but not fit for purpose at present. Megger therefore recommend that all loop tests are carried out using the 3 wire test method which doesn't suffer from this problem, until such time that the iterative firmware process provides a reliable alternative method.
