Static caravans (mobile homes) are covered by the general regs and new vans come out of the factory with the gas bonding already on the pipe which is underneath but outside the van Very often the gas fitter adds or moves a pipe for convenience. Does anyone know what the rules are for positioning the bonding in this case. As in a dwelling the gas should be bonded within 600mm of entering the property but on caravans the pipework is mainly outside and enters the van at points of use. So should the bonding be within 600mm of the site gas connection or doesnt it matter ?

Thanks for the info mac but it doesnt clarify things much. I think ill assume the connection point of site gas feed to mobile home pipe is point of entry to property even though its effectively outside and underneath the home. In the absence of any definitive info I think Ill always bond to within 600mm of this point even though it can be quite awkward. That way I cant be wrong.
