hello guys is there any info on different senarios with filling the 5 page test sheets in ie (new ringmain fed form a board which is fed from a board then from anotherboard (does the main page always start at the very begining supply auth then the next isol from that etc or is it from the second fuse up from the ringmain ........any info would be appreciated

I'm not that au fait with NICEIC sheets, however whenever I do a PIR, I always use a separate sheet for each board, and record the characteristics for that board on the sheet rather than the characteristics for the origin.
So rather than Ze at origin, I would change it to Zs at board (Zdb).

yes if you was doing a pir you would do each board but if you was installing a new circuit on the last board what goes where on the second page as i see it this is how i have always dont it ..supply auth in supply protective characteristics .then main switch or circuit breaker i put the next available point after the supply auth fuse.i.e 609473 or bs 88 fuses ..but should i be putting the mcb thats feeding my last board ............thats the argument im having at the min

so characteristics of primary supply is the cut out ....main switch is (for me its the 609473 isol (but the engineer im working for reckons its the mcb from db 2 if you get my drift ....

Sorry had to go and price up a job, just got back in.
The page you have posted, clearly requires the information relating to the origin of the supply, I can't see how your collegue can hold a different opinion.
I've got some red NICEIC schedules of test results, and the heading on them is Distribution Board Details.
The second row, asks for DB location, supplied from, No. of phases, supply protective device type and rating.
It would be under 'supply protective device type' that you would record the details for the MCB at DB2.

are the ones your refering to domestic niciec certs. ive only posted page 2 of the five page test cert

the block diagram i had drawn gives a bit of info of the circuit . i know the second page asks for the earthing and supply charactaristics ie voltage 400 230 50hz
its the bottom left corner of that page he reckons the mcb feedinf the last db goes in there and i dont ............

This problem comes up so often, the NIC never claearly answered it when I asked them, but they seemed to say that you just document the supply characteristics separately, using more sheets, If you do get a good answer to this problem let us all know.

yes ive been reading the niciec testing book and also had a meeting today and the only real way to resolve the issue is to insert continuation sheets
into the 5 page test sheets (another handy way to sell extra books imho).but obviously this takes extra time to do .............
