Hi Guys,

I'm looking for some advice on how to size/design an off grid system to run all the needs of a house in Africa. I'm struggling with how much demand to allow for to run the house during the day and to charge the batteries to take over to run the house at night. Also with sizing those batteriers. The 2399 course didn't touch on off grid.

Any pointers in the right direction gratefully received.

Cheers,

Keith.

Sma do an off grid configurator design program ,this may help with sizing the batteries although I would'nt think it would cover the actual demand requirements, If you are using DC in the property it might be worth buying a book eg michael boxwell this has advice on sizing /assessing demand etc for dc systems and is about 10 quid
