Discuss Paralleling to reduce Voltage drop in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi, i got talking to customer today about supply and since it's not possible to upgrade existing cables he's decided to take supply of the house. It means cutting concrete but it's the only solution.

For anyone who's interested the paralleling of cables wouldn't have worked anyway. The run is over 350m from supply in a mix of 16mm2 and 25mm2, serving two 3phase d/bs and a single phase. The max load in L1 could reach 40amps as things are, without adding another additional load of 40amps for the shower that needs installing in a shed for dog grooming.

Anyway its sorted now. Thanks for replys, even the smart --- ones, kinda funny.
