Tv cables in apartments

Can i run a single cable from the roof to a splitter in each apartment then wire from there to each room or will the signal loss be too great
Do i need to wire each room in apartments back to the roof and the splitters in the loft

It will not make much difference where you split the cables, the effect will be similar, except you will be running a weaker signal over a longer distance.

The choice of method would depend on the number of apartments, the number of rooms and the signal strength.
You should be able to split 4-6 ways without problems on a reasonable signal, but if the signal is weak then it may be better to replace the aerial with a higher gain one or you could fit a masthead amp.
