Discuss what size wire in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I need to install a 30amp service for a camper , would be a 600' pull from my source, is it possible and what size underground wire would i need, copper and aluminum. Thanks in advance for any info.
At that distance you could probably get by with # 6/3 with ground romex approved for outdoor use. I always use copper wire. I don’t know what load the camper is going to pull, having said that if you don’t have cookers, water heater etc. you could probably get by with # 8/3 with ground romex approved for underground use of course

Thanks for your reply, i already ordered some 2/0-2/0-2/0 aluminum, thats what the online calculator recommended. thanks again
