Buy a copy. But I dont need one for several months yet so no problems there.

So why not just say something like "you know what mate you will be ok installing to both standards until July. After then I would probably install X, Y or Z"

Because the question was about the BYB. Not when they have to start complying with it. Thats the problem with this forum people try to over think the question when all the info is already contained within it.

I think the problem is people cannot stay out of threads they do not agree with. Why not stay away from a thread if you think it is not something you can advise on? The mods are here to sort out unacceptable posts not the members.

If it was me and I did not own the BYB I would not comment on that thread if I felt that I could not give a reasonable account of what I thought the answer was.

This forum should be about us helping each other out. Sharing our experiences in a positive way. Warning others if we have made silly mistakes that we would not wish others to make.

If someone asks me for advice I will ALWAYS try and help. That is my nature. Not to shout anyone down who may have a different opinion. I came on here to better myself as well as (hopefully) others.

Now go back and read my original replies to the OP they were helpful. Or again is it a case of you reading what you want not what os actually written.

We have made it quite clear...if you cannot or willnot help the OP in a tread, then don`t post.

So telling someone to buy the relevant book so they can refer to it so they know what they are being told is correct is unhelpful?

Completely unhelpful. If someone asks me for advice and I said go and buy the book and check yourself. I would expect to be called a bit more than unhelpful....

I was replying to posts in which others had quoted me. My reply to the OP was helpful. How do they know what they have been told is correct without it, thats what i would do in that situation before asking for info on a publication i knew exisited.

In the same way how do you know it is incorrect? You do not even own the BYB.
