hi i am currently taking the mature candidate course and i'm struggling on a few of the underpinning knowledge questions. i would appreciate any help please.

1. How would you carry out an assessment of risks and plan a safe system of work?
With reference to: access to the workplace, preventing unauthorised access, others working at the workplace, systems and equipment integrity and the working conditions and the working environment.

2. What are main types, advantages and limitations of test instruments?

3.. What are the safety implications and economic consequences of supplying inaccurate or incomplete information to the customer?

4.

What are the requirements of an inspection?
With reference to: selection, identification and connection of conductors, protection against contact and fire, labelling, access to switchgear and equipment and availability of danger, warning notices, diagrams and instructions.

Hi Ryan,
You have started all your messages pretty much the same and do not provide much input afterwards. It kind of looks like you just want someone to answer your questions for you rather than gain any understanding of them yourself.
I think you should perhaps research more yourself on the internet, and at least give some suggestions before asking these questions.

Interesting, give us your answers you've put together so far and we will try and help you as much as possible. I doubt anyone will spoon feed you the answers with no input however.

The only question I have is would the answers to
1-4 all be contained in BS7671 , or a more concise source ?
( Happy reading )

Not much of a course tbh, the training provider you have paid should be guiding you with this

Question 1 answer is in the question..

He is from the UK. The Union Jack gives it away so no more questions asking his location.

Question 1
Since others are present is
"The Electricity at Work act 1989 "relevant (or up to date ?)
- Regs. love hopping about between docs-
... We need to find "Building a risk assessment"
Even if it doesn't have all the answers ,it gives a good taster of responsibilities to others / access.
If I'm wrong others are free to suggest alternatives !

I would have thought that HASAWA and MHASAWA would be the required answer, afaik EAWA isn't the legislature that governs risk assessments, even for sparks.
