part p northern ireland?

hi folks, does part p apply in northern ireland as it does in england and wales? would i be classed as not a competent person because im not registerd with niceic etc even though i am fully qualified and done 17th regs, just that i have recently become self employed? any help wud be much appreciated!!

Part P does not apply in any part of Ireland. It only applies in England and in Wales.

didnt part p only arise after some mp's daughter got killed by dodgy wiring...should be like gas,cant touch it unless you have a licence/qualification..isnt electricity more dangerous than gas?? i know its and old one from college..but you cant smell electricity..

Incidentally, natural gas has no smell either. A scent is actually added to it for safety reasons so that you can smell if there is a leak / gas left on.
