Hi, thanks for your help last night, I now know how to install.

Heres question 2:

My bedroom is the smallest room in the house but would suit 4 spot lights.
I'm wondering what you would recommend for me to buy (on eBay).

240v or 12v LV spots?

Maybe 12v spots because of the size of the room, don't want it too bright, 35watts per lamp max I think, what you say?

I'm after chrome ones, are the cheap and cheerful ones any good I mean the £3 a piece things, i'd prefer to buy a branded spot, can anyone recommend or send me links to some, i'm willing to spend £50 max altogether for 4 spots with everything included (transformer, bulbs, etc)...

Many thanks sparks!!

IMO downlighters are a waste of money unless you have high ceilings, ie 3m or over because you might use 200w instead of 60w to light up the floor, and the room would still look dark.
Try these; low wattage (supplied with 20w lamps but you could use 10w) wide beam angle, and 3 for £17.33 inc transformer.
Technically for under a kitchen cabinet but I see no reason you can't use them on a ceiling other than if you recess them they wouldn't be fire rated.
