Hello all. One of the sockets in my baby's bedroom is making a fairly loud buzzing sound when an appliance is plugged on.

Is this dangerous? And how easy is the problem fixed?

Thanks and any advice greatfully received.

is this any appliance thats plugged into it thats making the buzzing sound

if so could be a fualty socket at a guess the plug isnt making a good connection and arcing but this is just a guess

id replace the socket and as for danger id say its a possible fire risk

or could be as simple as a loose connection

but cant say without seeing it

welcome, on a simple reply yes it could be but as the last post said is it everything thats plugged in or just one certain appliance?

Just thought I'd throw into the hat a damp issue and or leak. Seen quite a few lately what with the weather and crappy plumbers!!!

Thanks all. It happens with all appliances but strangly only after they have been on for over an hour or so.

Anyway, I'm going to replace the socket tomorrow. Hopefully I'll still be here to be able to report back tomorrow.

Thanks again
Dionne
