had a problem with a not so common lamp and left it on-site when i wanted to take it to the wholesalers to get a replacement, I hope someone can identify the type from my description:

Looks like a ice hockey puck
Has 2 pin similar to a GU10's
More than 50mm in diameter
the version I had was compact flourescent but I know there are led equivalents

I know ledhut used to sell them but doesn't look like they do anymore and been searching around to find the proper identifier for it!

Was it one of those compact reflector types ?

Bugger, beaten to it and I was wrong lol :blush5:

nor me.

I've see them, I've fitted a few pathway lights with them, I hope never to see them again.

That's a new one on me. Never come across one yet.

Just as well, it would make you seem very strange and make a nasty mess. :tongue3:

Your bright and optimistic attitude inspires me Dave. :D

I've seen them only once in wall mounted up/down lights, they were CFL, never seen them in LED.
