Hey,

I have been looking into buying a property just across the road from me. The property is going cheap as it is really old and run down and needs a refurb. But my question is: How would I go about finding out if that particular row of houses is scheduled to be knocked down in the near future? The house is in Belfast.

You can do a local search. All new projects or road developments etc will have to be submitted to the local council outlining the scheme, you can get all this information at the your local council offices. It is the same thing a lawyer does when your buying the house he will do a search for you and it will uncover any future plans, and he will then advise you of this.

That is how it is done on the mainland, NI might be a little different.
