Discuss I am allowed to replace the 2.5mm wire from a radial circuit to 4mm and the 16Amp MCB for a 32Amp in the DIY Electrical Advice area at ElectriciansForums.net
Hi, thanks for the answer. My plan was to use a socket tester which is looking for continuity and polarity. It's a tough one... if I was being super cautious I would suggest this is not maintenance due to the fact it's a new cable and a new protective device which would imply it's the installation of a new circuit which would require an electrical installation certificate and a building control notification.
Plus, as you're a DIYer... how are you going to test to make sure it's safe?
That is a bit like kicking a car tyre to prove the worthiness of the vehicle. It needs testing, certifying and notification to Building Control.Hi, thanks for the answer. My plan was to use a socket tester which is looking for continuity and polarity.
