Level 3 adult Trainee rate

I've a question that I'm looking for peoples thoughts on.

I'm currently a level 3 adult Trainee at a JIB company. I'd consider myself for more dedicated, professional and working to a higher standard than that expected of me due to unforseen circumstances within the company.

I've requested a payrise however I'm already getting answers along the lines of qualified electricians are only on this much, you can't be on them etc.

As far as I'm aware JIB rates are a minimum. I want t to be rewarded for the extra work and willingness to do things others would moan about amongst other things.

Let me know your thoughts!

You are worth what you do, not your age or experience.

A 16 year old shifting bricks from one place to another should get paid the same as a master craftsman bricklayer for moving the same bricks for eg.

You are worth your worth, but not all companies value your worth that is why soooo many trades people these days go self employed.
I know this may sound stiff but if you don't feel your pay matches your worth then start looking for another company who will match your expectation

Cheers for the reply, it's one of those I need to work for someone to gain the experience I'm just going above and beyond what's expected which I've essentially in a roundabout way been told but there's so much good words account for! I like the company and the people like you say I feel like I'm worth more!
