Hello everybody! Just a quick question, is it good practice to have light switch above radiator? Please see picture attached. Wall is quite small, and in the same wall is radiator going, is it acceptable to have switch where is marked as 350mm from wall corner or should it be moved to the left side? I am not sure what is regs are for switches above rads, as i cant find anything.

Thank you for your help.

Let’s hope whoever is hanging the radiator understands electrician’s safe zones.

Look how many TVs are wall mounted above radiators, or even on chimney breasts with a gas or electric fire below.
A switch will be fine.

Thank you for reply guys, last question: what is the distance from door frame to the switch? Or how far switch is located from door frame? Some electricians saying its 150mm or 350mm as per regs? There must be some sort of standarts thats every one sticks to. Please advice guys. Thank you
