anyone heard of them? basically, got a cold call today, they pass you leads. membership fee is £115+vat for 6 months, but all leads are passed free. , another lead generation parasite, or worth a flutter? don't think i'll bother, especially as he said " i'm looking to sign someone up TODAY.

if they send genuine leads, it looks OK at £5 a week. it costs me £30 a week for an ad in the local weekly.

If its this crowd

Our local tradesmen provide fast, FREE quotes on localtraders.com

Then I wouldn't bother Tel. When I first set up a couple of years back its was 100 plus VAT for the year, so I thought good value.

Never won any job, must of had 50 leads in the year. Problem is no one ever phoned and just want the quote via texts without looking at the job. On the few occasions I responded first by text, as requested, I then phoned them their was never any answer or they gave it the old someone has already done it for me.

I think there are too many of these lead providers by far now, and simple common sense ( or spider sense is tingling) tells me theres not much wirk around.... Therefore

Load of cobblers. Most anyway. Just scumbags that have no real skill except thinking of ways to make money out of hard working skilled tradesmen. Maybe there are a couple that work but wouldnt waste the money Tel you are already spending in right place. Tough out there at moment.

Just to add the people that devise these schemes are adding NOTHING and I really don't like their reason for being. Theyre skimmers, parasites, life leechers and they should be ashamed! What possible job satisfaction do they get?

I'm going to set my own up

RWJ-TRADES.com

You can ask 3 approved (by god know who) tradesmen for a quote.... It's free
We then charge the tradesmen £20 a month then £10 for every lead......

Who can loose!!!

I had them calling last year, added to the blacklist, no more calls

But it's not ALL bad with these creatures - I'm listed with one site that must pass me at least 10 leads a week on a fee per lead basis of £2-3 and many of them convert to work or at least talking to the enquirer. I've quoted on three complete rewires and two reasonable size commercial jobs in the last fortnight, just through them.

Ive got 82 numbers in my phone, all labelled "IGNORExx". All with a specific quacking duck ringtone. The duck quacks, I no answer meeeester.

Any scheme that claims to get you work is exactly that a scheme remember the more sparks they sign up the more they send you all to the same lead and the customer goes into overload as he only want a couple of quotes and he finds he is being chased by a "gaggle" of sparks

so what site is that? pm me if you don't want it public.

Id be interested in knowing the site too rockingit we've tried a few of these sites before and we've always ended up being involved in a Dutch auction vs a one man 'unaccredited' band.
