Posted a few weeks with regards to eicr, only one cpc at ccu on rfc, went back for remedial works yesterday, the ccu was removed and cables pulled up to see if there was another cpc there as were two lines & two neutrals at ccu but only one cpc. we found that the rings were installed in singles and only one cpc was taken from the ccu. all socket fronts were removed and there were two cpc's at every socket as the electrician i was with was going to find the end of the cpc and take it back to the ccu. After discovering it had been wired in singles in plastic copex, old 3036 board, no cpc continuity on rings and we couldn't find the end of the cpc on both ring circuits. He said it should be re-wired, we tidied up and left. I suggested splitting them down in radials disconnecting the return line & neutrals to the ccu, putting both rings on a 16a or 20a c.b. What do you think is re-wiring the only sensible solution.
