I wouldn't try Move onto the next job and always make sure you've covered all your overheads adequately, it's the only way to deliver a quality service. I'm finding that going to a survey last is beneficial to us, if we get silly prices like that we just explain that we wouldn't be in business 12 months later with those prices, offer a ball park figure and only quote if they are still interested after that - it's not worth spending 4 hours of my time quoting and the ensuing time for quality installation for such a small margin.
