Hi guys just looking to get into installing pv and after some recommendations for an irradiance meter and a thermometer, I already have a dc clampmeter
Cheers Gram

See sponsor's site (test-meter.co.uk) for an irrandiance meter (5% discount as well). What do you need a thermometer for? I know Voc is temperature dependant but the temperature of the module maybe different from the ambient! Would be surprised if anyone used them on site!

Been to a mcs paperwork course today and was told it was necessary to check temp of the panels as they may be operating at 60deg when Voc etc is worked out at standard op temp of 25deg. Not done the installers course yet tho so prob got that wrong

On the pv test report you should measure and record cell temperature at the time of testing, as far as i know taking the ambient temperature won't give an accurate indication of cell temperature so you need an infra red thermometer
