They have quoted a good price and seem abit more registered (actual website, Facebook page and some reviews) although they have said they can't take card payments at the mo because they are changing systems. Not sure what to do there really
Can you drop by their workshop and see what goes on?

Thanks Ruston and Thankyou everyone for the help and advice

So here's an update. It's gone from bad to very bad to disastrous. We got the car booked in with an engine specialist. They have taken the engine apart and booked for an AA engineer to come and inspect the car so he can give a report to AA for our warranty.

Cams warm, injectors failed, twin turbo damaged beyond repair.

AA have just phoned.
They said they will not cover a penny because there was a carbon build up which was part of the problem. I cannot believe such a random clause Is in the policy (AA says it's in the terms and conditions)

All we did was honestly buy a car and drive just over 4000 miles and now we are here.

We are in absolute disarray here. The garage are quoting nearly £4000 and we just don't know what to do now. We are going to have to pay it but god knows how.

Bit confused. You are having the car repaired. The warranty offered by the AA, did that come with the original car purchase? The single non Mazda approved service, was that prior to you purchasing the car?

we purchased AA warranty as part of the deal with the car from the dealer. Yes the non mazda service was prior to us purchasing the car

Go back and have it out with the dealer, trading standards, is another option

Tried that. Dealer didn't want to know. Out side warranty

Aa gold warranty

Confused again. The AA warranty, is that still current, or is that the one that is or was outside the warranty period?

Outside of the 6 month warranty from dealership

Still got an active warranty policy with AA but they won't cover the engine/turbo repairs because carbon from the dpf was part of the cause. It's true carbon was part of the problem but it is due to a known fault with this particular Mazda CX-5. There is no way we could have prevented this from happening

I know you've been to CAB, but with a 4k bill, I would consider going to a solicitor for an initial consultation. Consultation with your MP, and the Daily Mail have a columnist who does a weekly blog on money matters.
