Hi just about to install my first solar system. Been a commercial electrician for 29 years but no PV experience. After pushed away from Micro inverters by advice from people on here I decieded on Solaredge.
Have sized my system on the solar edge designer software. Now thats telling me I need a se3500 inverter with p500 optimisers. My panels are Benq 33w and have a VOC of 71v and there are 12 of them so in my eyes string voltage could be approx 852 volts! Now spec on the inverter says max input voltage 500 volts. Will my optimisers reduce the voltage to match the inverter or have I missed something.
Thanks Phil

Just looked up a bit more information on them and Iv,e answered my own question. It keeps DC voltage below 50volts :-) Has any one got any little tips on installation

Some panels are not compatible with solar edge optimisers. Can't remember wether Benqs are or nopt
