Dawson control wiring is basically on machines, example stop, start, e-stop buttons, relays, PLC’s and contactors to start motors, etc. You will not learn this kind of work in The NEC book but upgrading services you are working Now follows under the NEC. I’m old school and had to learn controls through trial and error. You possibly could contact you local community college and take AC-DC theory, reading schematics etc. What you are doing now and control wiring is like 2 different worlds. Can you wire a three way switch which is considered some what control wiring. You are not but at best 1 hour from me. What is your current job ? I like that you want to learn controls and I would like to help

@dawson99 I have all sorts of control drawings which I have used to teach my grandson. Maybe this weekend I will get in touch and we can meet at Flying Jays truck stop so I can give you some drawings and give you some pointers. Keep that attitude and try to learn all you can. Even one day you could get your Masters in Electrical. The sky is the limit 😀
