Got a rewire coming up where I've managed to persuade owner to batten out and board the hallway but he can't stretch to all rooms, was thinking of running some 50x50mm trunking in top corners of rooms with 90deg angles and dropping down in plastic conduit (singles), don't want to drop down in trunking as it looks crap(er), anyone else done this?

to get round the concrete ceilings, you could cable up within 6" of the ceiling and then cover with coving. a lot cheaper than fitting false ceilings. chase the walls for the drops, then you'd only have 1 piece of mini trunking across to light fitting, or fit wall lights.

Sounds a bit rough running cable in coving? What drill in some cable tie supports to support T&E?
Have you done it like this before?? I've done a flat in conduit before, it took me longer than I thought it would as I reckon conduit is easier in bigger spaces (done a couple of restaurants in conduit and they were easy/quick)........

In steel conduit buried in wall, quite rusty and nasty and not in the right places, together with some sockets run in plastic capping! and some clipped direct and covered in 4 layers of emulsion and some rancid looking trunking...basically it's a right lash up. It's vacant and being done up (on the cheap)......

Corner ceiling trunking round the whole flat and just cut down the walls at ur sockets, switches etc and out to your lights and get them patched up. No mini trunking on show anywhere, cheaper for the customer, and trunking acts as a cheap coving for the client.
