Was wondering how others calculate kva's for electricity suppliers when requesting supplies. I use formula below but what are voltage figures now-a-days

Kw x amps x voltage / 1000 = kva

The make believe 230V and 400V!!! lol!!!

So single phase, anything between 190 - 260V

Three phase, anything between 360 - 440 V

Now that should help your calculations!

What is the lowest / highest anyone has found?:yesnod:

The naughty way is if you know what front end fuses you want just multiply fuse rating by 0.24 for 1ph and 0.73 for 3ph.

60amp x .24 = 14.4kva
60amp x .73 = 43.8kva .............. then make sure your submitted loads add to this including diversity.
