Discuss connecting lamps qualification? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hello,

I am an industrial designer and at the moment I am working on designing a collection of lamps. Some are pendant, some floor lamps, etc. Although I do not have an electrician qualification, I understand how to make all the connections (or most of them). However, my idea is to sell these lamps and I assume I need to have some sort of legal qualification to be making them to sell? If not that, I assume I need to have them either put together or checked by a qualified electrician.

Does anyone know about the logistics in this? Which steps do I need to follow to be able to sell "legal" lamps?

Thanks!
