I installed a 32A Crabtree rcbo then came to testing it! It tripped fine but the readings were as follows >310mS @x1 and >50mS @x5, is the rcbo faulty.
All connection were fine.
The board was a split load with an RCD protected side, I tested this RCD and obtained satisfactory readings!!
I ordered a new RCBO, tried it at my home on a test rig, obtained satisfactory readings!!
Installed the new rcbo in the original board on the job and the same thing happened as the first rcbo......what the...help!
Have I blatantly missed something??
The rcbo,is I believe an AC type with the ac wave above the dc wave, does this mean anything??

Op left after posting hours ago, make sure your answers are left in an orderly fashion if/when he ever comes back
You do not want to cause the chap any irritation by wasting his time so please make your replies precise and too the point

Is this a bid to become a mod?

and he's been back on to view this since since posting it so fingers crossed he'll post an update today

Yet another prime example of why electricians should all be carring Earth leakage clamps as part of their test equipment!!....

Did youtest the RCBO as a stand alone unit or with the circuit connected to it?
Yes it was tested as a stand alone unit in the board in question.
I will be back there to test it again without any other circuits connected as there may be a fault on another circuit!!
If it passes a colleague of mine suggests that the NICEIC are happy with this although I would not be as it should operate under normal conditions!! Odds on the client will not have a full test of all circuits carried out!!
Watch this spsce!

I would call the NICEIC yourself and when they say this ask them to put it in writing somyou have someone else to drag to court with you should the circuit connected to it cause any damage.
