Hi, as you can see by the photo ive got a supply coming down to a JB on outside wall then it splits 3 ways. 2 left and right go to security lighting and down is a SWA 1.5mm going to a light in a shed near by. This circuit comes straight from the cu and is on its own 6A MCB.

Can you spur off in 3 directions?

If you can’t a lot of houses would be condemned.
So long as the earthing arrangements and containment are up to scratch then there’s no problem.

It may not look pretty but I don’t think aesthetics come in to the realm of BS7671

Perhaps you can tell us why it can't go off in three directions, ...as you put it??

As long as the cable from the CU to the junction box is sized to accomodate the 3 loads spured off at the junction box, there should be no problem.

Are you sure it's swa? Just wondering about the gland.

How the hell did we get from BS7671 compliance to a fanatical devotion to the pope and no one expecting the comfy chair.
Some of the python stuff was pure genius.
And my wife and kids wonder why I like this forum so much:)

Just as a point of interest on this one, it looks like the satellite cables are running parallel to the power, would / could this cause interference problems with the magnetic field from the power impinging on the sat signal or would the earth shielding on the sat cable prevent this?
