Does this comply with BS 7671?

Hi, as you can see by the photo ive got a supply coming down to a JB on outside wall then it splits 3 ways. 2 left and right go to security lighting and down is a SWA 1.5mm going to a light in a shed near by. This circuit comes straight from the cu and is on its own 6A MCB.

Can you spur off in 3 directions?

Just as a point of interest on this one, it looks like the satellite cables are running parallel to the power, would / could this cause interference problems with the magnetic field from the power impinging on the sat signal or would the earth shielding on the sat cable prevent this?

you can cross over but shouldn`t run parrallel. Same with phone cables..........As far as splitting 3 ways is concerned....why would the o/p think it isn`t compliant? What does he think 3 plate is?....feed in and out....plus a switch wire and this is the most common way we wire lighting in the home n all these days.....just as an example of course..........:smartass:

Well i was thinking about unshielded cables but i think isn`t this just alarm cable though?..

I dont run band 1 and band 2 parrallel....in fact when i rewired my house i went to considerable lengths to avoid it.....you are making me think it was all for knowt now...lol...........

it is wise to avoid running parallel for any great length. not a 7671 reg. though afaiaa

I think I have run data Cat shield cable along cable tray for miles in parallel with band II cables.

It should make no difference if it's shielded/segregated. I Know that when you cross it should be 90 degrees across each other, but to be honest that is rarely done either.
