doing a board change soon where they still have economy 7, my boss reckons that this board will not need RCD protection, I think he is an old fart that should keep up with the regs and stop interfering.
Comments please.
 
Yes it needs rcd protection, it's no different just that the power gets turned on at a different time.
 
Are you changing the CU which controls the night storage as this will have its own supply tails from the meter!

If so then my guess the cables less than 50mm into the fabric etc will come into play !
 
They still follow the usual rules incase of any late night DIY

And if you do change both boards it does look neat if it's all in one (big) unit :smile:
