Sole trader, company and person are one and the same, therefore MCS applies to both
Large Company - competant installers, and company carries the MCS can.

Process can take from 8 weeks up to 6 months, depends on how good and organised you are.

You can buy the panels and have someone fit, but the panels MUST have a manufacturers MCS certificate, or the installer will not fit. Most installers will not touch customer purchased equipment due to restrictions in supply chain confirmation that may breech their own future MCS audit.
