The Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) and NICEIC have welcomed Government plans to reduce the number of notifiable works, saying it will cut some of the red tape faced by industry.

No doubt for the Privelige of signing off a third parties work, it will be a bolt on charge and not covered under your standard yearlysubscription!

Publically they may say they welcome a reduction in notifiable jobs but thats cos its going to be approved by the Govt. whether they like it or not.
Privately they will be rueing the loss of revenue it will ultimately lead to hence their crappy attempt in bringing out a new competent persons register.
