I'm looking at 4 core, cos I'm running two strings. (the run is for the DC)
the internet guys above came out at about £2700 for 400m

What's your dc voltage? Have you considered redesigning the strings to increase the voltage so you can drop a cable size? Could save a thousand quid.

Maybe even one string on two core? Or are you already maxed out on Vdc?

The problem is the differing orientations of the panels so I need to run it on 2 trackers, so the strings have to go back to the inverter.

just been quoted £3.04 /m for 16mm 2 core local wholesaler is cable getting cheaper by the day?
