Hello,

I have been offered a job on a site that has mobile homes that people are living in on a daily basis.Under the domestic installer scheme am I able to carry out the work?
Part p only specifies dwellings which is what these effectively are. The system is fed into what I can only describe as a shed and then its fed to a series of poles which have a fuse board mounted on them supplying the mobile homes. Also the regs say that it has to meet general requirements rather than a special location.

I would really appreciate your feedback,

Thank you.

can't see a problem with you working on the site. the electrics might be a problem though. poor earthing, lack of RCDs etc. good luck with it.

Funnily enough Murdoch and I was talking about caravan parks etc the other day and decided the best thing to do is call your scheme to ask, personally I don't think it would come under part P as I would not class them as dwellings as such.

I would still have thought that you need to apply section 708 to this, as it is caravan/camping parks and similar locations.

Thankyou,

Well looking round today it doesn't seem to bad although changes are needed and nothing is how it seems until the tester comes out.
