I've recently been asked to fit a piece of electrical equipment in a red telephone box which has been purchased from BT.
The new electrical equipment must be earthed but the existing electrical installation from the cut out in the telephone box is double insulated with no earth provision.
I would be very grateful if anybody could advise the best way to provide an earth for the equipment which meets BS7671 and is also tamper proof.

Telephone boxes are normally considered as street furniture.
DNOs will not allow street furniture to be connected to their PME points, unless there is an electrode installed and most will want an Ra below 20Ω before allowing connection.
