Just throwing this one out there!. I have been asked to quote for system on a propety with 2 different orientation roofs, one west, one south. I can get 12 sayno Hits on one and 4 on the other. I was thinking of using the dual track power one route. My question is. is the dual trcker basically 2 invertors in one, so if a had a 3kw rated one, i could have the 12 panels on 2 strings so meaning it is under the max min voltage and also isc for the sanyos, but also have the 4 panels on another sting on the other side of the tracker. would this take me over the max current rating ie 3 strings therfore 3 x 5.1 amps = 16. 3 amps, or is it 10.2 amps one side and 5.1 amps the other , so allowing me to do this and avoid micro invertors or 2 string invertors.
doing it the 3 string way would mean the voltage parameters would fit for the array. I dont have PV sol , and dont know if PV sol would give me the required info/route
Any advice/thoughts are very welcome
