Mechanical damage---protection ofYes - I do.... especially when the plastering is float and set. Not using is is really poor...
Not much plastering goes out on nowadays it's all dot and dab walls.Yea sheathing, put over cables prior to plastering, don't no one use it now.

They tape them then sanded down.
No plasterers in sight!
The only thing I came out with from new builds when correcting work already done, is...never buy a new build!
I'll have to disagree in part I have been on some sites in the past where there have been a good camaraderie between trades from the site manager down and the workmanship has been of a high standard it is becoming rarer now I find especially the newly qualified ones are only in it for the money no intention in doing a good standard job get cable A to B forget cable zonesMy wife wants a new build if we ever move - it's not going to happen. How can I move from a 113 year old Victorian made to last into a build that is only expected to last for between 10 and 30 years. It makes you realise that the wires will outlast the build. Ridiculous!
I don't know bricklayers were good cleaned cavities a lot of trades were old school pride in what they did still made a good crust as wellI guess I'm actually talking about the structure of the build rather than services.
